The journey is long, and the road is often hard, but that’s why we love it. Whoever you are, whatever you want to send, whatever you are waiting to receive, we drive straight, and we drive true. We publish stories and poems that keep things moving. We deliver the goods.

Muleskinner Journal takes a slightly unique approach to online literary journals. We refer to each issue as a "Journal," centered around a theme (Journal One has the theme of "Long Journeys"). Because of that, each published piece becomes a "journal entry" and is published on our home page as we move our way through the submission period. Once the submission period closes, we compile all pieces into a more traditional-looking Journal.
